In common with other venture capital providers, Mercia Fund Management has a formal process for deciding which companies to invest in. The buttons below will guide you through the information required by us to make an investment decision. Mercia Fund Management uses a downloadable application form in Adobe's portable document format (pdf) to gather information prior to arranging face-to-face meetings with suitable businesses. This form can also be accessed below, subject to completion of a compulsory on-line registration process.
Descriptions of the funds that we have under management are also given below. These indicate the types of business that can be invested in, together with the limits of investment potentially available to each business.

Mercia Fund 1 can invest up to £500,000 in technology companies spun out of eight universities located in the West Midlands. Prospective investees tend to be pre-revenue, post proof-of-concept businesses with a strong intellectual property base and the potential to penetrate international markets with disruptive technology based products.
Mercia Fund 2 can invest up to £500,000 in technology companies that are located in the West Midlands. Prospective investees must be post-revenue and have made signficant strides in their commercial development. A strong intellectual property base and the ability to penetrate international markets with disruptive technology based products are further prerequisites for investment.
