Mercia Fund Management provide a discretionary portfolio management service to private investors through the Mercia Growth Fund series, targeting investment opportunities in Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) qualifying businesses. Please see below for EIS & SEIS tax efficient investment funds currently open.
Mercia Growth Fund 3 (EIS/SEIS Hybrid Fund)
Mercia Growth Fund 3 (like funds 1 and 2) is a ‘hybrid’ EIS and SEIS fund which will follow on from the success of MGF1 and MGF2, providing investors with access to high growth opportunities in pioneering British businesses, combined with a risk managed investment strategy and attractive tax advantages. The combination of SEIS and EIS capital enable the Fund to provide a blend of early stage, development and growth capital to businesses; offering investors an optimal balance between capital growth, portfolio risk and time horizon.
Based on the Fund Manager’s track record to date, the investment objective for the Mercia Growth Fund 3 is to target attractive returns with a potential compound annual growth of 10-50% (excluding the tax advantages available) from investments in fast-growing companies. To date, Mercia Fund Management (MFM) has invested circa £14m into EIS and SEIS qualifying businesses and leveraged into these businesses an additional circa £70m in syndicate investment (reducing the capital risk in its portfolio of investments). MFM benefits from other institutional funds under management that can help to provide a source of de-risked deal flow into the Mercia Growth Fund 3 and benefits significantly from contractual partnerships that it has with 8 universities provide access not only to deal flow but to technology expertise, grant opportunities and synergistic technology.
Mercia Growth Fund 3 will be closing for investment in March 2014.
